Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of XP Certs ("Service"), operated by XP Certs ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use XP Certs. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@xpcerts.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We are not liable for any losses caused by unauthorized use of your account that occurs before such notification.
3. Subscription and Payments
XP Certs offers a free plan with daily practice limits and a paid Premium subscription. The price is shown before you subscribe (currently $14.99 per month, or $79.99 per year where offered). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges for each billing period until you cancel.
Subscriptions bought in the XP Certs iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and they are managed, cancelled and refunded through your App Store or Google Play account under Apple's or Google's terms.
- Free trial: If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page on xpcerts.com, or in your App Store or Google Play account settings for subscriptions bought in the app. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
- Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Refunds: For subscriptions bought on xpcerts.com, we evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis; refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google. Contact support@xpcerts.com within 7 days of a charge if you believe you were billed in error.
Payments on xpcerts.com are processed by Stripe, and your payment data is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account
- Copy, redistribute, or reproduce XP Certs content (questions, explanations, roadmaps) outside of the platform
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape the Service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the question database
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on XP Certs — including practice questions, explanations, roadmaps, UI design, and software — is owned by or licensed to XP Certs and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes only.
Trademarks. CompTIA, A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, Cloud+, Linux+, Server+, CASP+ and SecurityX are trademarks of CompTIA, Inc. Cisco and CCNA are trademarks of Cisco Systems, Inc. All other certification names are trademarks of their respective owners. XP Certs is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CompTIA, Cisco, or any other certification body. Exam names are used only to describe which exams our material helps you prepare for.
Practice content. Our practice questions and explanations are original material written to the publicly published exam objectives. They are not actual exam questions, and we do not use, collect or distribute real exam content. Readiness scores are our estimate based on your practice results; they are not an official prediction of your exam result.
6. XP, Ranks and In-App Activities
XP, levels, ranks, badges, streaks, backup batteries and similar in-app items are part of the study experience only. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and may be adjusted or reset (for example to correct errors or abuse). Timed activities such as daily shifts, weekly incidents and breach events may change or end at any time.
If you turn on study reminders, the app schedules notifications on your device at the time you choose. You can turn them off in Settings or in your device's notification settings at any time.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that use of XP Certs will result in passing any certification exam.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, XP Certs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold XP Certs harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in the app or on xpcerts.com (Settings, then Delete Account), as described on our account deletion page, or by contacting us. Deleting your account cancels a subscription bought on xpcerts.com; subscriptions bought through Apple or Google must be cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
